Webb17 apr. 2010 · Next is a Pigtronix Philosopher's Tone I got from chadshorebird awhile back. I found that this isn't the compressor for me, but it is a great pedal! $125 Echo Ohce - I got this a couple of weeks ago and have played with it a bit and while I love the sound of the pedal, the lack of a tap tempo is driving me nuts! So off it goes! SOLD AND SHIPPED! Webb23 okt. 2016 · My beef with the Philosopher's Tone was that you could still hear some distortion even with the Grit control off. The Mini PT eliminates the Grit control; perhaps look at that one? This being TGP, I have to mention a pedal not on your list (tradition!): the Xotic SP. A lot of pros use it and I really like it, too. mikespe BluesJo Member Messages 19
