Boiled Linseed Oil can be diluted with mineral spirits (I dilute it 3 parts BLO to 1 part mineral spirits), then apply it and rub it in with cotton balls and let it completely dry and set before lightly rubbing it and applying the next coat.

I'm not sure those will harm any ink stamps or markings but at $3 a pint the Mineral Oil is safe to consume or put on wood, metal, leather and phenolic, bakelite etc.
