They shouldn't even call it a short throw. My 2024 came with it too. I swapped out with a kartboy and it was night and day. I also have the perrin shift stop, and would highly recommend it. Narrows the gap in that 1st/2nd valley. Everything is smooth and short now.

You notice how the wrx one has the pin on a higher position than the crosstrek. There are little divots and looks like there is an even lower divot for the pin. Perhaps for the Forester 6MT.

It's weighted, so it has that solid feel that a heavy shift knob gives you. The solid shift bushing is the best bang for your buck.
